As you drive into Rudgwick village from Watts Corner heading north you will notice, on the right-hand side, a generous piece of grass I call a greensward.


I have a vision that this sea of green should be flooded with a sea of yellow daffodils to wave a golden welcome to visitors and residents alike as they enter the southern gateway of this Saxon village.


To fulfil my vision 6000 daffodils have been purchased with the organising support of EGRGA. Rudgwick businesses have been pleased to contribute to the Yellowing of Rudgwick.

I invite my fellow Rudgwickians to come along to the Queen Elizabeth Greensward armed with a bucket and a sharp spade and we will give you a patch to plant, making your contribution in creating a yellow welcome into our friendly village. I will be there:
